Altered Violin

 Hi Everyone, Farrel here to share my altered violin with you all. I have been wanting to do this project for quite some time now and am so happy with how it turned out.

 I used a mixture of chipboard and moulds for this project. I used brown acrylic paint as my base coat  on the violin and then used both matte waxes and metallic waxes to highlight all the different layers.

Always and Forever Mixed Media Canvas

 Hi there everyone, Farrel here to share with you all my second project for the month. Today is my wedding anniversary so I thought it would be nice to create a project using a photo of my husband and I on our wedding day 12 years ago.

On the canvas I used Art Alchemy Waxes over black gesso. The flowers are a mixture of 49 and Market and Prima. I used a gold paint to brush the petals. 

I cut up 2 pieces of the Wall #2 chipboard and covered with wax in gold and matte white. The Half Round Shutters chipboard I painted with a navy acrylic paint and also used waxes.

On the Ivy I lightly covered with a gold acrylic paint to help tie in with the gold on the flowers.

Sail Away Layout

Hello everyone, Farrel here to share my newest project with you all. I thought I would mix it up a little this week and create my first ever Snip Art layout using the new Jolly Roger collection. 

For this layout I used 7 Dots Studio Destination Unknown collection. I painted the chipboard with black gesso and then used Art Alchemy Waxes in Bronze Age, White Gold, Brass Age and Old Silver.

On the background I used Tropical Adventure Anchor stencil with Distress Oxide Ink - Walnut Stain and used small cuts from Background - Ornament....I keep these pieces raw.
