TIME FLIES

Hello everybody

Can you feel the sun is coming out...

Butterflies are flying around...

I love this time of the year...

Time is flying fast and sometimes slow

like butterflies go from one flower to another

So what better way then to combine them, 

which SnipArt did in a amazing MDF clock !!!

I added some decoupage paper from Finnabair on it and 

over that some liquid acrylics..

I loved the way the butterflies are flying away

 like they fly out of our universe

So I added some planets and Zodiac Signs

I colored the signs and planets with distress Oxide ink to blend them in

I hope you got inspired by this design

Alterowana paleta / Altered palette

Witajcie,

ostatnio brakowało mi nieco czerni, więc na dziś przygotowałem kompozycję na nieużywanej palecie malarskiej całą czarną z woskowym wykończeniem.

Hello,

recently, I missed a bit of black, so for today I prepared a composition on an unused painting palette all black with a wax finish.

Zacząłem od pomalowania palety czarnym gesso i dodania wzorów z kilku masek. Na tak przygotowaną powierzchnię przykleiłem pierwsze elementy tekturkowe. Są to głównie motyle.

Przyklejone elementy pomalowałem czarnym gessem.

I started by painting a black gesso palette and adding patterns from several stencils. I glued the first chipboard elements to the prepared surface. They are mainly butterflies.

I painted the sticky elements with a black gesso.

Kolejną warstwę zbudowałem na bazie taga z mdf-u. Dokleiłem do niego kilka tekturek, a na wierzch dodałem trzy stare pędzelki. Pędzelki owinąłem dodatkowo drutem, by dodać nieco faktury. Na pędzelkach umieściłem wyraz "inspire".

I built the next layer based on an MDF tag. I added some chipboard to it and added three old brushes on top. I also wrapped the brushes with wire to add some texture. I put the word "inspire" on the brushes.

Dodałem też nieco różnych "wypełniaczy", czyli kamyków i mikrokulek. Chciałem by dodały całej kompozycji nieco charakteru. Całość pomalowałem ponownie czarnym gessem trzykrotnie tak by dokładnie pokryć wszystkie elementy.

I also added some different "fillers", i.e. small rocks and microspheres. I wanted them to add some character to the whole composition. The whole was painted again with a black gesso three times to cover all elements thoroughly.

Zostało mi tylko wydobyć głębie z całości. W tym celu użyłem wosków, które powstały poprzez wymieszanie bezbarwnego wosku z farbami Color Glow. Dzięki kolorowemu wykończeniu uwidoczniły się wszystkie detale projektu.

All I have to do is get the depth out of it. For this purpose, I used waxes that were created by mixing colorless wax with Color Glow paints. Thanks to the colorful finish, all details of the project became visible.

Album dla Alicji

Cześć,

dziś będzie post z dużą ilością zdjęć, ponieważ przyszło mi stworzyć coś nieco większego niż kartka. Po raz drugi w życiu zrobiłem album, który powstał na gotowych bazach albumowych spiętych kółeczkami. Album trafił jako prezent do dziewczynki lubiącej niebieski, fioletowy i... motylki.

today will be a post with lots of photos, because I had to create something a little bit bigger than a card. For the second time in my life I made an album that was made on ready album bases joined together with metal circles. The album came as a gift to a girl who likes blue, purple and ... butterflies.

Okładkę zrobiłem dość prostą i płaską, by nie było problemu z przechowywaniem. Do jej ozdobienia użyłem dwóch tekturek - motyla i warstwową ramkę. Imię dziewczynki po wydrukowaniu pokryłem delikatnie glossy accent, które nakładałem patyczkiem. Dało to efekt lekkiej wypukłości.

Metalowe kółka spinające album ukryłem pod mnóstwem koronek i wstążek.

I made the cover quite simple and flat so that there would be no problem with storage. To decorate it I used two chipboards - a butterfly and a layered frame. After printing, the girl's name was slightly covered with glossy accent, which I applied with a stick. This gave the effect of light raised.

I hid the metal rings connecting pages the album under a lot of lace and ribbons.

Pierwsze strony to kieszonki, w które wsunąłem tagi oraz większy kawałek kartoników oklejonych dwustronnie i ozdobionych motylkami.

The first pages are with the pockets in which I put the tags and a larger piece of cardboard covered with two-sided and decorated with butterflies.

Kolejne strony są dość proste, a na jednej z nich umieściłem dodatkowe miejsca na zdjęcia.

The next pages are quite simple, and on one of them I put additional space for photos.

Ponownie stworzyłem kieszonkę na tagi oraz trzy podstrony, na których można coś dodać. Strona z kieszonką otwiera się na prawo, co widać na zdjęciu poniżej.

Again, I created a pocket for tags and three subpages where you can add something. The side with the pocket opens to the right, as seen in the photo below.

Tym razem tylko jedna dodatkowa strona na zdjęcie. Po lewej stronie zrobiłem prostą kartę zdobioną napisem oraz skrzydłem motyla.

This time I added only one additional page for photo. On the left I made a simple card decorated with an inscription and a butterfly wing.

Na pozostałych stronach powtórzyłem kilka dodatków i kieszonek. Tylna okładka prezentuje się podobnie do przedniej, ale bez dodatkowych ozdobników.

On the other pages I repeated a few additions and pockets. The back cover looks similar to the front cover, but without additional decorations.
