I Want to Stay Here Mixed Media Layout

 Hi there Snip Art lovers, Farrel here and today I am sharing a summer themed mixed media layout. Here in Australia it's almost summer and as a family we love going to the beach and to go fishing. Here is my layout using a few of the amazing Snip Art collections.

I used the Anchor stencil with some modeling paste on the background along with some stamps. Then used Distress Oxides to build the background. I also coloured my background chipboard, Ships wheels and crab using the distress oxides along with both metallique and matte waxes.

The compass chipboard I painted with black gesso and then used metallique wax to highlight. For the title piece I used acrylic paint and then inked around the edges.

The Journey Art Journal Page

Hi there everyone, Farrel here to share with you all my latest art journal page. Please feel free to click on the process video below to see my process.

I used Distress Oxide Sprays for my background and a Map stamp by Darkroom Door

The papers I have used are by Stamperia - Around the World.

I embossed on Snip Art's packaging using Sizzix Foundary 3D Texture Embossing folder and used Distress Oxides and inks to cover.

I covered my Up In The Air Frame with Sepia Archival Ink as well as the Balloon. I kept the Rose of Winds compass raw and adhered to the balloon. For the Globe chipboard, I sprayed with Distress Oxides.

Say Yes to New Adventures Art Journal Page

Hi there Snip Art lovers, Farrel here to share my latest art journal page. I was recently teaching on a crafting cruise and got inspiration whilst on the cruise to create an art journal page using the theme of travel.

I started with a kraft base and used some music sheets, patterned cardstock from a catalogue and using a spatula applied some Stamperia Crackle Paste.

Once the paste dried I then stamped the background using Darkroom Door World Map stamp and Gazette texture stamp. I splattered some acrylic paint and used Seth Apter's Izink Dye Spray - Marron. I also used Tim Holtz Design Tape - Journey.

I painted the Up in the air - ornaments with feathers using PaperArtsy Fresco Chalk Acrylic Paint in Mermaid. I heat embossed Balloon with cogs chipboard using Stampendous Embossing Enamel - Aged Ivory. Next I painted the Vintage Boutique - Large Napkin using Stamperia Cappuccino Acrylic paint and then highlighted using Lindy's Stamp Gang Starburst Squirts - Maple Syrup Bronze.

I inked both Up in the air - Ormanenty - Diamonds and Mandala's Dream Border #1 with black archival Ink. I adhered all the pieces to my page and finished the page by splattering some of the Lindy's Stamp Gang Starburst Squirts - Maple Syrup Bronze and added my title using a Tim Holtz Small Chat Sticker.
